January Book Club
Our new book club format was a rousing success! Check out the books we discussed this month in store, online or on libro.fm by navigating to the link below.

March Book Club

February book club (Silenced Voices) was revealed in last month's newsletter, and both sessions are already almost booked up! So in today's newsletter, I'm introducing our March theme, Women in Translation! Read any translated book written AND/OR translated by a female author, and then come to book club at the end of the month to discuss.
Find out more information about our February book club by following the link below, and stay tuned to our blog to be the first to know when March Book Club is open for registration.
2025 Wrap-up

In November, we celebrated Läs is More's second anniversary, and I could not be prouder of all we have achieved as a community during that time.
Based on my preliminary accounting, bookshop sales are up over 20% year over year, and profits are up by almost 30%. The shop sold over 17 books/day on average (!!), and therefore I had to get in at least this many to compensate. You guys were clearly up to the challenge, because my 2026 inventory showed an increase of over 5% in stock levels since 2025!
Let's keep up the momentum going in 2026 - at this rate, there's hope for us yet!
Libro.fm Audiobooks

I can confidently say that the bookshop would not be in the position its in today without the support of our audiobook partner, Libro.fm. Audiobook sales through Libro have contributed to almost 10% of our gross profits in 2025 and over 20% of our bottom line (!!).
Several customers have told me that they found the physical store via Libro, while 125 others are active members as of today. No matter what way you read, please know that your support means the world and I could not be more grateful to have it!
As a thank you, I have compiled a list of the top ten audiobook sellers from last year. Check them out here (I myself have listened to #s 1 and 3 and read #s 5, 7 and 10), and if you haven't already, sign up for Libro using the link below!
2025 Book Bracket

Well guys, 2025 is over and therefore so is my book bracket! It was a tight race between my six favorites, but in the end, The Bee Sting eked out the win.
In 2026, I won't be documenting my reads the same way through the newsletter and social media, but will instead share a one-second video of my day every day on a monthly basis. That said, if you still want to keep up with what I'm reading, make sure you find me any of the below three reading apps:
Mural
Our biggest achievement of 2026 so far is that THE MURAL IS COMPLETE!!! Our artist, Elsie, and contractor, Johnny, persevered through inclement weather and last-minute changes to complete the project and make our shop that much more cozy. Thank you to everyone who supported the effort by buying totes (which are still on sale at the link below). Make sure you also check out Elsie's artwork at her website, and keep Johnny in mind for any upcoming projects you have in the pipeline.

Nina's Book Nook

This month, our resident crime enthusiast Nina has read and recommended two books from our shelves. Read her reviews below - both books are available now in-store and online!
Rogue Lawyer, John Grisham: Sebastian Rudd takes on the cases no other lawyer wants. He will do whatever it takes to help his clients, even if that means fighting dirty. In Rogue Lawyer, we follow Sebastian on some of his cases. A man accused of child murder, a drug lord on death row, and a homeowner accused of shooting at a SWAT team.
When Rudd is asked to represent the prime suspect of the kidnapping of the assistant police chief's daughter, he finds out a terrible secret that will threaten everything he holds dear.
This book offers a look at injustice, corruption, and the murky parts of law. A thrilling read!
Private London, James Patterson: Private is the world's best detective agency. Dan Carter is the head of Private London and his new client is Hannah Shapiro. Eight years earlier, Hannah was saved from a horrific death. Today, Dan is charged with keeping her safe while she studies in London. When Hannah is kidnapped, Dan will have to save her, but time is running out...
A fast-paced thriller with lots of twist and turns, this book is sure to keep you gripped.
