December Book Club

This month, 18 (!!!) of us squeezed into my tiny shop to share our blind date experiences. Most book clubbers enjoyed the experience, while a few others did...not so much. HOWEVER, it was noted that some of the misses led their readers to a different beloved book so all was worth it in the end! After all, one has to kiss a few frogs to find their prince, and the same can be said for books. Find the audiobooks by navigating to our Libro.fm playlist linked below:
January Book Club

2026 is just around the corner, which means so is January Book Club! Next month we’re reading seasonal books inspired by winter ❄️
We’re also testing a new format, with
a) limited capacity (max 12 participants),
b) two length/date options, and
c) a fee that can be offset by shop purchases!
RSVP using the below link, but do so quickly if you want to join - spots are filling up fast!
February Book Club

One piece of feedback I received this year from our current book clubbers was to give more advance notice for upcoming themes. With that in mind, please find details our February book club theme, Silenced Voices, to the left. As it's still quite early, dates are tentative and will be finalized in the New Year, at which time the links to RSVP will be provided.
For now, just know that we will be reading books by authors in marginalized or suppressed groups, so plan accordingly!
2026 Reading Challenge

In 2026, Läs is More will be hosting its inaugural Reading Challenge!
Join in wherever you are in the world by reading along with our monthly themes - those who read 12 books (one for each month's theme) will get bragging rights. To qualify for a reward, however, you must additionally attend at least 9 book clubs in person during the year. Stay tuned on the website, newsletter, or social media to get information about upcoming book clubs!
2025 Book Bracket - December Edition

This month's reads have so far been a little underwhelming. In fact, my last 5-star read was awarded in the first half of October! Here's to hoping that will change by year-end. I am currently loving the "Blind Date" I bought from our friends at The English Bookshop, Soldier Sailor - stay tuned on social to see how it ranks in the final bracket!
And as always, you can find more detailed reviews on any of the below three reading apps:
VOTES ARE IN!

In case you missed it, we at Läs is More have been raising funds for a mural to be drawn by a local artist over the holiday break. After a few last minute surprises (and what could be considered a Christmas miracle), we are now planning to have the mural drawn during the first week in January before the shop reopens on Saturday the 10th. The winning design (Quirky & Literary) raked in 44% of the final vote tally, as compared to 33% for Cozy & Universal and 22% & Whimsical and Adventurous! If you haven't bought a tote yet, we would still love to have your support - you can buy a tote at the below link. But either way, stop by the shop on Jan 10th for an unveiling party!
Holiday Schedule

Because of some last-minute scheduling changes, our Holiday Hours have been updated in accordance with the picture on the left.
By the time you receive this e-mail, the shop will have closed for the holidays and will not reopen until January 10th, when - if all goes according to plan - the shop will host a mural unveiling party! After that, we will revert to our normal hours, with closures on Sun and Mon.
Online orders will be processed upon my return on January 8th.
Until then: I hope you all have a WONDERFUL holiday and I'll see you in 2026!
